Portable Mixers –
Built with portability in mind, Scott Turbon Portable HR Mixers are our most versatile machines. Portable Mixers are nice because they can be easily moved across departments or multiple mixing/cleaning rooms using either fixed or portable tanks up to 300 gallons. They are perfect for pilot scale and small production batches in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries. The head height is fully adjustable during batching, which allows for added flexibility of batch sizes and viscosities. The ability to lift the mixer out of the tank also makes cleaning and maintenance much easier.
The Scott Mixer is based on flexibility. The customer can select one of three standard mixing blades for batch production, depending on the amount of shear needed for the formula. (See Turbon Heads ). Disperser blades and other custom impellers can be mounted on the same unit. All head assemblies allow for easy removal or cleaning in place.
Portable HR Mixers are also available as a Floor mounted unit and are able to work with multiple floor mounted or portable tanks. STM also offers Multi-shaft Mixers that can be integrated into the HR units, with helix, sweep and scrape surface agitator designs, propellers, foil blades and other tools to complement the Turbon Mixer.
STM can supply just the Portable HR Mixer or a complete turn-key system. Complete systems include tanks, ingredient automation, fitted operation decks, and controls. STM, with its UL stamp, can integrate electrical controls, PLC touch screen displays, and ingredient automation into your complete mixing system.
