Selection of the proper Scott Turbon Mixer model, size and motor HP depends upon several factors: vessel capacity, batch size, viscosity, specific gravity, % of solids and degree of agitation required. This table is based upon batch size and viscosities and should be used as a guide only. The factory should be consulted on all applications.

Use this chart as a guide only. Many factors contribute to mixer size including: specific gravity, stickiness, viscosity, mixer placement in the tank, other agitation in the tank, hydrophobic or hydrophyllic properties and how the liquid behaves under shear. (shear thinning/thickening)
